SAP in a production environment
It is an absolutely no-go at Eval Europe for production to grind to a halt as a result of a breakdown of one of its systems. This is the reason why Dedigate implemented complete redundancy for the company’s systems; if a system breaks down, it switches to another one straight away. This method guarantees 24/7 availability of data and applications.

The EVAL Europe factory in Antwerp is the biggest European plant for production of the ‘EVOH’ co-polymer. On the Antwerp production site one hundred users will work with the hosted SAP system. In order to deliver the required performance, 9 servers (including firewalls), a tape library and a SAN are deployed. Specifically Dedigates technical expertise plays a key role here. The environment is fully redundant to allow for instant failover to a backup system should a production system fail.
“SAP poses high demands on the systems that run the various modules. This goes for applications and databases alike. It furthermore is paramount for the end-user to always have a responsive connection with the system. Using Dedigates knowledge of putting applications to the disposal of remote users, we were able to develop a solution that works even faster than had it run from a local server farm.”
To deliver the required Uptime a far-reaching SLA was created that guarantees a 99.5% availability of the entire environment. Delaware is responsible for the application, Dedigate for the Uptime of the technical infrastructure.
