Compare Group chooses Dedigate for Managed Hosting

After an intensive selection process the Compare Group, owner of web sites such as Vergelijk.be, Vergelijk.nl, Vertaa.fi, and Elcheapo.nl, opted for the managed hosting services of Dedigate, a subsidiary of the US-based Terremark.

The company, specializing in the comparison of prices and products, in specific praises the high quality of services and the crystal-clear SLA Dedigate offers, both of which were prime reasons to choose for Dedigate.

“In our business it is vital to have a reliable, flexible partner managing the platform on which our web sites reside.  At times it’s necessary to cooperate and interact decisively with that partner – Dedigate proved to meet that requirement,” saysBen Kerkhof, Compare Group’s CEO.

For the Compare Group growth is an important objective.  Nowadays the websites of the Compare Group receive over 100,000 unique visitors every day.  With such vast amounts of visitors, downtime would result in more than a damaged public image.

When running such a critical environment it is paramount to carefully study the SLA.  Recent comparison showed that there are SLAs around that will guarantee 100% uptime, accept on the servers power supply. Other SLAs hold the customer itself responsible for keeping the server operating systems up to date.  It is disappointing to conclude you will not receive the compensation for a system failure, due to the fact that the cause of the failure was a power supply.
